Fantastic weekend of raking but mostly SKIING!!

This is a recovery week, in preparation for Thankgiving Camp. If you are planning to go to Thanksgiving Camp and are NOT in the UW Nordic Camps & Racing GroupMe be sure to let Christi know ASAP.

This time of year there can be a lot of changes that happen quickly so please watch for them!

This is a rest week, let the bodies recovery from the last few weeks, especially last week with all the speed. Also get ready for Thankgiving Camp!

There are time changes this week so pay attention!

  • 4:10pm, Hill on the Arena Auditorium - Ski Specific Strength then Spooky Halloween Yoga! We will meet at the hill, we need to be super efficient so we can end with the yoga!
Wednesday:
  • 4:10pm, Stadium Parking lot. Headed to Happy Jack for hill bounding, bring your bounding poles!
Thursday:
  • 4:10pm, skate rollerski -  Stadium Parking lot to carpool for Tricks for Treats skate rollerski!
Friday:
  • 4pm, Meet at Old Laramie High School Track (Map) for the running portion of the Medal Test. We will have the van, if you want to ride to Corbett after. We will start the 3000m at 4:10pm so plan to warmup before you come.

We will only have organized practice through Thursday of this week due to finals & the elite team heading to Granby.

  • 2:30pm, SUS Apartments - Skate ski at Chimney Park (please bring skate AND classic in case the conditions are not optimal for skating)

  • 5:10 pm, RUN,Core & Yoga! Corbett Gym. We will do a short, 30min run to see the lights at Washington Park!
Friday:
  • EVERYONE: Get some skiing in!
  • ELITE TEAM: We will be leaving around 1pm, should get to Granby in time to ski.
Saturday:
  • ELITE TEAM: 5km Classic, interval start
  • EVERYONE: Choose your own adventure (2hr) - A race is always fun but if you can't find one then do whatever sounds fun.

  • ELITE TEAM: 7.5km skate, mass start

Doing our two Hill Resistance workouts this week followed by a rollerski OD on Saturday. Should be a great week of training!

We will be posting the training for Jalapeno Peppers, if you don't know which Pepper (Pepper descriptions) you are please contact us and we'll help you decide!

The workouts we have on the schedule are not all team practices BUT if you want to be at your best for the ski season they are ALL super important!

Team Training will be in

Monday:
  • 4:30pm, Laramie Greenbelt West SUS rollerski agility & technique (others are welcome to come to help and learn better technique!)
Tuesday:
  • 40min run or rollerski
  • 5:10pm, Corbett Gym - Strength
  • 6pm Core & Yoga
Wednesday:
  • 4:10pm, Stadium Parking Lot. BRING classic poles, we'll be doing our hill resistance with poles.
Thursday:
  • 30min run or rollerski
  • 5:10pm, Corbett Gym - Strength
  • 6pm Core & Yoga
Friday:
  • 4:30pm, we will meet to do the Rollerski Hill Resistance HERE. You will need a warmup so it might be a great idea to rollerski TO the space!
Saturday:
  • OD Rollerski
Sunday
  • 1hr choose your own adventure OD!

Fantastic first week of Hill Resistance and T2T! Great job everyone!

This week will look a little more traditional, with our 2 hill resistance workouts and an OD on the weekend.

We will be posting the training for Jalapeno Peppers, if you don't know which Pepper (Pepper descriptions) you are please contact us and we'll help you decide!

Team Training will be in

Monday:
  • 4:30pm, Bike Path, SUS rollerski agility & technique (others are welcome to come to help and learn better technique!)
Tuesday:
  • 40min run or rollerski
  • 5:10pm, Corbett Gym - Strength
  • 6pm Core & Yoga
Wednesday:
  • 4:10pm, Stadium Parking Lot. BRING classic poles, we'll be doing our hill resistance with poles.
Thursday:
  • 30min run or rollerski
  • 5:10pm, Corbett Gym - Strength
  • 6pm Core & Yoga
Friday:
  • 4:30pm, we will meet to do the Rollerski Hill Resistance HERE. You will need a warmup so it might be a great idea to rollerski TO the space!
Saturday:
  • OD Adventure! We're watching the weather and will decide closer to the weekend where to go!

Woohoo! We have gotten through the massive hours of the summer training and are will be letting the dogs run!!! Hill resistance here we come!

You will definitely need your poles this week so bring them!

What an incredible weekend! WOOHOO! Due to the awesome training we will be doing a recovery week.

Remember that this week is all about getting recovered and ready to hit the next block so be sure to get rested. This will be very individual, but be sure to get ready for next week! We'll be taking the weekend off from team training to allow you to do whatever you want on this recovery week.

It was a beautiful day for a run!
School is starting this week and that means the Leadville Distance Camp! Woohoo!

We'll do a regular week of training and then take off on Friday for an awesome weekend with lots of hours!

We have officially started our quadraped training so please bring your short, running poles to OD practices!

It was an awesome run on Saturday!
Woohoo! It's time for fall training and the start of school!!!! Many people are not quite back yet but for those who are wandering in we're excited to see you at practice. If you are new and don't know where we are, what we are doing, where you need to be, be sure to contact us!
