Wow! What an awesomely beautiful weekend of racing - the trails, the weather, and the people!

We have officially started our peaking program so things will change at times so pay attention and please don't start new activities. We only have 5 weeks until Nationals so it's time to start concentrating on staying/getting healthy, eating well, resting and focusing your energy where it is needed!

This peaking programs works extremely well if you
  • If do the training properly and don't do too much (you'll get tired and not race to your potential).
  • If you do the training properly and don't do too little (you'll get sick!)
Even if you are not qualifying for Nationals this will help you with the last couple of races and if you decide to do any other races!​

The workouts we have on the schedule are not all team practices BUT if you want to be at your best for the ski season they are ALL super important!
 Team Training will be in Green bold italics

Monday:
  • 1hr Active Recovery
Tuesday:
  • 20min morning Check-in run
  • 5pm Corbett Gym
    • Group A - Core & Yoga (Zoom session linked)
Wednesday: 
  • 20min morning Check-in run
  • 3:45pm Stadium Parking Lot Classic Agility & Technique
Thursday:
  • 20min morning Check-in run
  • 5pm Corbett Gym - Core & Yoga (Zoom session linked)
Friday:
  • Leave for Crested Butte and race prep.
Saturday:
  • 9:25am Collegiate 21km Start
Sunday:
  • 9am WCU 5km Classic

What a great weekend of both working and racing! Well done EVERYONE!!!

This week we will settle into a more typical week as we hope everyone is back on the same schedule. Please note that we have Tuesday and Thursday training at 5pm and Wednesday at 3:45!

The workouts we have on the schedule are not all team practices BUT if you want to be at your best for the ski season they are ALL super important! Team Training will be in Green bold italics

Monday:
  • Nap, legs up the wall, rolling, massage
Tuesday:
  • 20min morning Check-in run
  • 5pm Corbett Gym
    • Group A - Core & Yoga (Zoom session linked)
Wednesday: 
  • 20min morning Check-in run
  • 3:45pm Stadium Parking Lot Skate Intervals
Thursday:
  • 20min morning Check-in run
  • 5pm Corbett Gym - Core & Yoga (Zoom session linked)
  • 20min One group will leave for Mesa
Friday:
  • The rest of the group will leave in the morning and arrive in time to ski the course and do some race prep.
Saturday:
  • 11am CMU Sprint
Sunday:
  • 11am CMU 10km Classic

On the road home after an incredible trip!
We made it through the Holiday Break and the crazy awesome race trip and now are ready for school to start and to hit the main part of the season! We welcome the rest of our team back and are excited to get going!

We have some changes to the times and to the plans so please read through this carefully. You have been put into 2 groups, depending on what you were doing over break. The workouts we have on the schedule are not all team practices BUT if you want to be at your best for the ski season they are ALL super important!

  • 20min morning Check-in run
  • 3:45pm Stadium Parking Lot Classic
    • Group A - 2x8min Threshold (L3) intervals
    • Group B - Technique Drills & OD
Thursday:
  • 20min morning Check-in run
  • 5pm Corbett Gym - Core & Yoga (Zoom session linked)
Friday:
  • Laramie HS Race - we are timing this so please volunteer as you can! Information on jobs and time will be coming!
  • 45-1hr Active Recovery activity (easy ski or run)
Saturday:
  • Laramie HS Race
    • Group A - 7.5km Classic race (will start before the HS race)
    • Group B - Dress extremely warm and help run the race. No skiing today!
Sunday:
  • 10:00 am Stadium Parking Lot Skate OD
