Training 8/28 - Conditioning/Over Distance AND Leadville Camp!

WOW! What an amazing weekend of Fundraising and Community Building! You are all amazing! Especially those Freshman who jumped onto the team with a BANG! The good news is that we did very well financially AND this sets up so many additional, easy, fundraising opportunities.

We are SUPER STOKED to get the team training going for this week and then head to Leadville Distance Camp, one of the funnest weekends of the fall!

Here is the group training for this week. All practices are bonus points and we'll be teaching how to do core & strength on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and then doing rollerski drills and equipment check on Wednesday. Please contact Coaches if you have any questions!


Monday
  • ​Off
Tuesday
  • 6am, Crossfit 7220 - Run, Ply's & Core
  • 5:30pm, Education Gym - Yoga to work out those sore muscles!
Wednesday
  • 4:15pm, Stadium parking lot - Skate Rollerski, drills, technique, etc.
Thursday
  • 6am, Crossfit 7220 - Run, Strength
  • 5:30pm, Education Gym - Yoga to work out those sore muscles!
Friday
  • 6am - Turtle Rock Coffee - Breakfast Club! Rollerski then bring money for breakfast or just hang out with us and chat!
  • TBA - Leave for Leadville!
Saturday & Sunday
  • Leadville Distance Camp! Info will follow! Woo Hoo!!!!

Training 8/21 - Recovery!!!

Hope you all got a chance to see the total eclipse! We were on top of Laramie Peak and it was soooo much more amazing than we thought it would be! Nothing better than combining a 3+ hour run with an eclipse!

We now have made it to the recovery week! The goal here is to rest as much as you need to be able to head back into volume training. We will have MUCH less team training and you can also adjust as you need.

There will no NO group training this week so rest up and do some fun stuff on your own.

Wednesday
  • Recovery activity of some kind
Thursday
  • OFF
Friday
  • No team training but a nice easy rollerski for 1 hr or less would be perfect.
Saturday & Sunday
No team practice but take one of these days off and then go for about 1:30hr of your choice for the other. You should hit next week with a bang!

The last volume week before the semester starts! What a great summer of training, great job everyone!

This week will be a little different because our big OD workout will actually be on Monday when we run up Laramie Peak to see the Eclipse. If you want to join our group please let us know.


Here is the group training for this week. As always everyone is welcome, just come to the appropriate place and introduce yourself! Let us  know if you want to know what we're doing on any given day.   • 5:30pm - Yoga, Education Annex 215
Wednesday
  • 4:30pm - 1:30OD Run - Meet in the stadium parking lot to carpool!
Thursday
  • 6am - Run, Core, Strength, Crossfit 7220
  • 5:30pm - Yoga, Education Annex 215
Friday
  • Breakfast Club 1:30 OD Rollerski - Location TBA!
Saturday
  • 1:3o OD, activity of your choice
Sunday
  • Something fun of your choice. The team will be traveling and camping Sunday night in preparation of the Eclipse run on Monday!
Monday
  • Run up Laramie Peak and check out Eclipse amazingness!!!

It's a good time to get up in the Mountains and see all the amazing wildflowers!

Here is the group training for this week. As always everyone is welcome, just come to the appropriate place and introduce yourself! We may have some additional workouts but we are trying to give everyone a bit of a break before the semester. Let us  know if you want to know what we're doing on any given day. If you can join us that's great but if not don't forget to check out the training schedule: Training

  • Your choice of activity: 1:30 OD of something!!!
  • We will gauge interest in a group workout. If you want to do something as a group let us know!

  • 6am - Run, Core, Strength, Crossfit 7220
  • 5:30pm - Yoga, Education Annex 215
Friday
  • 1:30 OD Rollerski - If you are interested in having a group workout let us know
Saturday
  • 1:3o OD, activity of your choice
Sunday
  • 2:45 OD, Run would be best but activity of your choice!
