Here we are in spring - the recovery time for skiers!
What you should be focusing on at this point is FUN and recovery! You should basically only be doing activities that sound fun to you or are eustress (help you in your recovery like yoga, walks, stretching, rolling, etc.) We will start yoga again this week, to help with that eustress. It's completely up to you what you choose but if you'd like some chill times then join us! Team Training: Tuesday: 6pm Zoom Yoga Thursday: 6pm Zoom Yoga PLAY PLAY PLAY!!!

Wow! What an crazy season of ski racing! We had more challenges than any of us would ever imagine but we made it through and now we are moving into one of my favorite seasons - CRUST SKIING!
This is a great time of the year to really focus in on not only recovering the body, but also recovering the mind. So look at the activities that you enjoy to do and get out there and do those. Start to blend in multiple activities whether it be casual paddling (Canoe or Kayak), easy mountain biking, easy road biking, disc golf, regular golf while walking the course, hiking, rock climbing, Back Country or Alpine Skiing, backpacking, salsa dancing, swimming, snorkling, surfing, ice skating, fly fishing, etc. Do not worry about any specific training, just have fun enjoying different activities while you are regenerating from the past year's training. We will be starting over with a new training year in the next couple of weeks. See you then! Dragons Slain and serious R & R are needed! LAST RACE WEEKEND!!! We had a surprisingly amazing season, thanks for all your engagement and excitement!
Here is the training for this week: Monday:

Saturday: 7.5km Classic Sunday: 20km Freestyle!!! Great fun race yesterday and the weather was amazing! Turns out spring in on the way, not that we really had winter...
For this week we are REALLY want to focus on rest & recovery with a a few sharpening activities sprinkled in. PLEASE get rested and recovered as much as possible, we just want you to be ready to ROCK for what we are hoping will be a super awesome series of 3 races for the Rocky Mountain Championships on March 18-21. Here is the training for this week: Monday:
Thursday:
Saturday: We'd like to suggest a chill ski on your own, so you can arrange your day in a way that will help you to live your best life! Sunday: Take a nap! What an AWESOME week of racing! Congrats to everyone who raced! HUGE races with incredibly fast skiers!!!
We are on our 3rd peaking week so we'll be taking away a few additional trainings, like morning runs. REMINDER: We have officially started our peaking program so things will change at times so pay attention and please don't start new activities. We only have 3 weeks until Nationals so it's time to start concentrating on staying/getting healthy, eating well, resting and focusing your energy where it is needed! This peaking programs works extremely well if you If do the training properly and don't do too much (you'll get tired and not race to your potential). If you do the training properly and don't do too little (you'll get sick!) Most of the other RMC teams will be there! Super exciting! Training for Week: Monday:
