Enjoying the fantastic fall colors!
Fall is here and that means we get to start RAGING!

We have finally moved out of our Over Distance into our Quadruped section. As we transition it's time to check up on how the training is going with our Medal Test!  Information about the Medal Test

Here is the training for the week!
  • Monday: OPTIONAL! 6:15pm, Education Gym - Yo-Ski & Erica Yoga!
  • Tuesday:
    • 7am - Morning Medal Test. Meet at City Track on 15th and Reynolds. The 3000m will start at 7:10 am so you should plan to warmup before you arrive!
    • Map to Track
    • 5:10pm - Afternoon Medal Test. Meet at Corbett Gym to run to track. The 3000m will start at 5:30
  • Wednesday: 4:15, Stadium Parking Lot - Running with poles. Please bring classic poles to run with if you have them.
  • Thursday:
    • OPTIONAL! 7-8am, Stadium Parking Lot - Rollerski agility
    • 5:10pm - activity - Corbett gym
  • Friday: 6:15AM, Stadium Parking Lot - Double-pole Rollerski Breakfast Club!
  • Saturday - Activity & time TBA
  • Sunday - On your own 1:15-1:30 OD.

The Ripple Effect award is given to athletes whose actions have a positive effect on their coaches, teammates, perception of the team by the public or the University of Wyoming community

Pretty much sums up our year thus far - All rainbows and smiles!
Another amazing week of training! It is so awesome to have such an large and excited group of skiers!

Congrats to those of you who raced the Cart2Cart and those of you who did the long run here at home! It was a great weekend for UW Nordic!

Skiers are made in the summer but the fall is where we get FAST!

First snow of the year! Actually the last snow from last year...
What a fantastic week we just finished with lots of good training, meeting new friends and teammates followed by a trip up Medicine Bow Peak! Magic!

We are continuing to be settle in to our training routine this week such great fun!

Here is the training for the week!

Ripple Effect Award!

The Ripple Effect award is given to athletes whose actions have a positive effect on their coaches, teammates, perception of the team by the public or the University of Wyoming community.

I'd like to nominate Christi and Rachel for the ripple effect award for picking excellent SUS athletes to join us. I really enjoyed my time getting to know Leon, Harry, Freddy, and Doris this weekend. Also, to Leon and Harry for the good company they provided while we were stuck in the storage units during the storm.

I'd like to nominate Maddy and Ben for putting t2t together this year.  It's potentially the hardest fundraiser to manage but they did it gracefully.

I nominate Kailee for leading the organization of all of the tables at T2T!

I want to nominate Doris for ripple awards for always having a positive attitude throughout the all of t2t, and always volunteering to help with any job.

I’d like to nominate Morgan for helping me out with Cart to Cart.

Here we go!!! Super excited to get this started!

This week we will meet our SUS teammates, start school, start practice with the entire team AND do T2T. Should be a crazy awesome adventure!

There will be lots of fun and games but here is the basic plan for the week:
  • Monday: Leadville Camp
  • Tuesday: 11am Chinese Culture Presentation, 5:30pm BBQ at coaches!
  • Wednesday: 4:15, Stadium Parking Lot - OD run!!!
  • Thursday: 5pm - core, strength, yoga - Corbett gym
  • Friday: T2T
  • Saturday - T2T
  • Sunday - On your own 1:15-1:30 OD.
