Training 2/11 - Peaking Week 2!

ARE YOUR READY TO ROCK!!! It's time for the home race!!!!

You main focus this week should be racing but there are several around the edges things that we will need help with so be sure to watch for information and jobs. If you are not racing/don't want to race this weekend be sure to let us know so we can get your help.

​​We have officially started our peaking program so things will change at times so pay attention and please don't start new activities. We only have 5 weeks until Nationals so it's time to start concentrating on staying/getting healthy, eating well, resting and focusing your energy where it is needed!

This peaking programs works extremely well if you
  • If do the training properly and don't do too much (you'll get tired and not race to your potential).
  • If you do the training properly and don't do too little (you'll get sick!)
Even if you are not qualifying for Nationals this will help you with the last couple of races and if you decide to do any other races!​

Training for the week
NOTE: Please stop morning strength this week.
  • Monday: TAKE A NAP. That is the official training for the day so do it!
  • Tuesday: 5:10, Stadium Parking Lot - Skate, on snow strength
  • Wednesday: 4:10, Stadium Parking lot - Skate Intervals
  • Thursday: 5:10, Stadium Parking Lot - Skate, on snow strength
  • Friday: 4:10, Stadium Parking Lot - Race Prep
  • Saturday:
    • 8:15, Meet at Happy Jack
    • 10am - Men's Team Sprint (See teams and order)
    • 11am - Women's Team Sprint
    • Time TBA - Dinner at High School! $10/person for UW Nordic Athletes
  • Sunday
    • 8:15, Meet at Happy Jack
    • 9:30am - 5km Freestyle
    • 10am - Men's Collegiate/Elite Wave
    • 10:02am - Women's Collegiate/Elite Wave

Dragon Slayage needs to be BIG on this weekend! Want a good showing in the home race!!!!
